Cupping for Diastasis Recti
Diastasis Recti is a condition where the connective tissue at the midline of the body becomes stretched or seperated. This area is called the linea alba and are the fibers where the two sides of the rectus abdominus connect. The purpose of the linea alba is to give the front of the body strength and stability. Diastasis Recti is a common occurence after pregnancy but can also happen for other reasons. Cupping can assist in the process of drawing the fibers closer together so that the bodys healing process can build new collagen and create stability.
